GPS app for Verizon iPhone 4 inbound

The iPhone 4 on Verizon and AT&T may look the same but the devices have a couple significant differences. Telenav has announced that it has a GPS app coming for the Verizon iPhone 4 that will be offered free for the first 30 days of use.

The app will offer spoken turn-by-turn direction, 3D moving maps, a database of 22 million businesses and landmarks, and maps and local search info. The app has some cool feature like shake to go to address, favorites, contacts, recent places, and a mode for night driving. You can also play tracks from your iPod while the GPS app is in use.

The maps for the app are updated automatically with the subscription. Settings will allow the driver to avoid HOV lanes tolls. The online connectivity of the iPhone 4 can be leveraged to find gas by price and a lot more.
