Porsche unveiled today the Boxter E according to a report on German Bild. The Porsche Boxter E features two electric engines that provide 240HP. The All-wheel-drive Boxter E reaches 100Km/h in 5.3s like a regular Boxter S.
Porsche did not reveal yet the reach of the Boxter E. Tesla Motors can also still relax, as the Boxter E is just a test. Three vehicles are going to be tested in the Stuttgart region. When Porsche would be actually able to put the Boxter E in production is unknown. I still find it puzzling how far ahead the California based Tesla Motors is in the electric car field. The established car companies are all not able to match what Tesla is offering today with the Roadster.
The Boxter you buy today from Porsche is the new Black Edition Porsche Boxter.
