I will say that of all the tablets coming to market the one that has the least appeal to me is the Blackberry Playbook. I am just not that into RIM offerings and would much prefer the iPad or something running Android like the Xoom personally. Still, there are lots of folks out there that are looking forward to the Playbook and if you are one of those peeps, RIM has some good news.
RIM has announced at MWC 2011 that it will be adding a pair of new models to the line. We already have the WiFi version and the WiFi and WiMax version heading to market and RIM has announced the addition of a LTE model and a HSPA+ model.
Both of the new tablets will land in the second half of 2011. Both of the new 4G tablets will also support Bluetooth tethering, mobile hotspot functionality, and Blackberry Bridge capability. RIM is not offering pricing details on the tablets at this time.
