SRS Labs Ships SRS iWow 3D Audio Adapter for iPhone, iPad, and iPod

SRS Labs has announced that it is now shipping the cool new SRS iWow 3D Audio device for Apple gear. The adapter will plug into the charge and sync port on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices and promises to improve the sound you get from the Apple gadgets with your headphones.

The device is shipping to retail outlets and is available online as well. It has five interchangeable faceplates on the HF model to match your gear and taste. The earbuds are built in line with the adapter on the HF model and the device has an app for customization of sound on both the HF and base models.

It appears that with the base model you need to provide your own earphones and the cover is only offered in black. SRS Labs is selling the adapter starting at $79.99 direct. While the thing is shipping now, the SRS store still shows the device is unavailable, presumably that will change soon.
