The Geneva Motor Show 2011 opens on March 3rd. The car industry will use this prime event to debut many new car models. Porsche tuner Rinspeed is again unveiling a totally innovative concept car at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 as they did in the past. The Rinspeed BamBoo is at first glance actually not that cool. On second glance Rinspeed put tons of cool features into this fun car for the summer and the beach.
The BamBoo is a reminiscence of the Seventies, of the south of France, of St. Tropez. Its colors range from salmon to lobster and yellow, shimmering in the sunlight. The BamBoo looks like its from the 70s but has a nano coated canopy-like inflatable roof and sports the new HTC Flyer Tablet in the glove compartment. RinSpeed also enables social features in the BamBoo. Identiface replaces the radiator grille, which is redundant on an electric vehicle. Thanks to its Internet connectivity “Identiface” can display the occupants’ Facebook pages, news from around the world, the manufacturer’s logo or an offer for a ride from A to B.
The four-seater features an electric motor from the German Fräger Group (German e-Cars) with 54 kW of power. This high-torque motor accelerates the 1,090-kilogram vehicle to a top speed of 120 km/h. Via Rinspeed.
