According to The Loop Apple has sent out media invites for a March 2nd event in San Francisco. This confirms the reports from yesterday.
The Apple iPad event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts at 10am PCT.
The new iPad 2 is expected to have a faster CPU, possibly Light Peak connector and FaceTime cameras. It is expected that the new iPad 2 will go on sale in April. There are reports that the iPad 2 production is not ramping up as fast as Apple likes it. This could mean that the iPad 2 will be in short supply at launch. It could also mean that Apple will not launch the iPad 2 globally at the same time.
