The German Telekom just announced plans to offer the new Motorola Xoom Tablet exclusively in Germany starting at the end of April. For 90 days the 3G version of the Xoom will be only available from T-Mobile. As reported Verizon launched the Xoom last week. Depending on when Apple will launch the iPad 2 in Germany both tablets might collide on the market place.
Telekom says that the price of the Xoom will be 699,95 Euro. I assume this is the unlocked price as Telekom offers the Galaxy Tab for 149.95 Euro with contract right now.
The Xoom will support 14.4Mbit/s downstream and 5,76Mbit/s upstream on the German Telekom network. Other features of the Xoom include 10.1 inch screen, Tegra Dual-Core CPU, 5MP and 2MP cameras and HDMI.
The Telekom will exhibit the Motorola Android 3.0 tablet at the CeBit 2011 that starts this week.
