Apple has already launched the iPad 2 online sale in the United States. Yesterday we reported that online sales would start 1am PT, but you can order it already now ahead of that time online in the Apple Store. The shipping date is already delayed with 3-5 business days. I did not catch it if it ever was 24 hours, but I would guess it was. Also there is a purchase limit in place of two per order.
Update:
You just woke up? The iPad 2 is now shipping in 2-3 weeks when you order it online. Better head down to your local Apple Store now and get in line for the 5pm Sales launch for the iPad 2.
Now your only choice to get an iPad 2 soonish is to go an line-up in front of an Apple Store at 5pm today. The new Apple iPad will also be available at AT&T and Verizon stores, as well as Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart and other "Apple Authorized Resellers."
Good luck on getting a new iPad today.
Bloomberg reports that analysts predict sales of 600,000 iPad 2 tablets this weekend. Here is my estimate: Apple will sell over a million iPads this weekend, if they produced enough.
