BMW is one of the more desired brands of cars on the road today and the company has a large line of cars that run the price range from affordable to very expensive and exclusive. BMW has announced the launch of an all new 6-series called the 650i Coupe. This is the third generation of the coupe and has a new design and promises sharper driving dynamics.
The car has a 16.24 cubic foot luggage compartment and has 2+2 seating. The 650i coupe will hit showrooms this fall. The car has adaptive LED headlights with bright white light for better night visibility and long lasting bulbs. The car also has tech that allows the light to adapt and turn with the car.
The 650i coupe has BMW's Connected Driver assistance system and mobility service. Other features include a rear-view camera, Surround View, parking assistant, BMW Night vision, and a lane departure system. The car has a HUD that projects vital details onto the windshield. The car has an optional Bang & Olufsen sound system as well.
The engine inside the vehicle is a 4.4 liter V8 with twin-turbos and it develops 400hp between 5,500 and 6,500 rpm and has 450 lb-ft of torque. The top speed is electronically limited to 155mph and it uses an 8-speed sport Automatic gearbox or the 6-speed manual transmission. BMW claims the car is good for 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds with either transmission.
The 8-speed auto has paddles on the wheel that can be used to shift gears. The 650i couple has a wealth of options that can be added to suit the buyer's needs and wants. Pricing details aren’t offered and EPA fuel economy numbers will be available closer to launch.
