The iPad 2 launched yesterday in the United States amidst long lines and online sellout. Reports say that Apple Stores across America had limited iPad 2 supply. You have to wait up to a month when you order a new iPad 2 online today.
My prediction was on Friday that Apple would sell 1 million iPad 2 over the weekend. The Loop reports that an Apple Spokesperson told them that the demand for the iPad 2 was amazing. To me any sale number less than a million for the iPad 2 is not amazing. If Apple managed to get 1 million or more new iPads into the hands of customers over the weekend that would indeed be impressive.
Reuters has a report up that analysts also predict iPad 2 sales to be close to 1 million. Let's see if Apple issues a press-release today with an iPad 2 sales record.
