Thunderbolt is crazy fast

One of the coolest smartphones that will be hitting Verizon in the near future is the HTC Thunderbolt. Verizon has announced that it will be getting the smartphone on March 17. The smartphone will sell for $249.99 with a new 2-year agreement. The device has been detailed before, but I will run down the specs again.

The smartphone will run Android 2.2 and it will run on the LTE network. It has a 4.3-inch WVGA display and an 8MP rear-facing camera. That camera can also shoot 720p HD video and the smartphone has a 1.3MP front facing camera as well. The processor inside the smartphone is a 1GHz Snapdragon.

The smartphone has mobile hotspot capability and can share its 4G connection with up to eight other devices. Onboard storage is 8GB and it comes with a 32GB microSD card. It has an integrated kickstand as well to allow the user to prop it up so that video can be viewed comfortably. The Thunderbolt is good for 4G speeds of up to 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps. The phone will require a 4G LTE data plan of $29.99 monthly access.
