Scosche kickBACK P1 iPad Case Review

Today I am checking out the Scosche kickBACK P1 case for the original iPad. This case is made to protect your tablet and to allow you to stand the tablet up at different angles for more comfortable viewing and typing. Read on for all of the details on the Scosche kickBACK P1.

Specifications

The Scosche kickBACK P1 is made from shatterproof polycarbonate with shock resistant rubber inside. The outside of the case also has grips made from the same rubber. It has a large stand on the back that will prop the device up for comfortable use and more. The case sells for $59.99 and is available in white and gray or black right now.

In Use

The Scosche kickBACK P1 is a very nice little case. The outside of the case is made from a plastic that is shatter proof. It has knurled grips made of rubber in locations around the outside for a better grip. The inside of the case is completely covered in the same rubber material to pad the iPad if you drop it and help prevent damage. The iPad simply presses into the snug fitting case and all ports and controls are left uncovered.

The cool thing about the Scosche kickBACK P1 is the integrated kick stands. There is a large kickstand on the back that props the iPad at various angles in portrait or landscape mode. The large kickstand has a smaller fold down flap that will prop the iPad up for comfortable typing and keeps the large stand from folding completely by accident.

The bottom edge of the case has little nubs to help increase traction so the case doesn't slide when you prop it up. The controls of the iPad are easy to use and access with the case installed. The charge and sync port is open and you can plug the iPad into the factory cable without having to remove the tablet from the case.

The only downside I can find to the Scosche kickBACK P1 is that it adds enough bulk that docking the iPad on a speaker dock or alarm clock with the case installed won't be possible in most instances. The iPad is easy to remove form the case though if you need to.

The Scosche kickBACK P1 is an easy to use and good looking case that makes using the iPad more enjoyable when streaming video and offers protection as well.
