We've heard a lot about Firefox Mobile. First that it would launch before 2010 and then that it would launch late last year. But the world's most anticipated mobile browser has been a constant tease. Until now, that is.
Mozilla has just officially announced the Release Candidate for FF Mobile. This version is working now on Android and Maemo. If you hop on over to the Android Market right now, you'll be able to download it. Ditto Maemo.
Users will be able to take advantage of features like Firefox Sync which shares crucial browser information like history, passwords, bookmarks and even open tabs across devices. Your browser is your browser, regardless of whether you're on your Evo or your Xoom or your desktop PC.
Firefox Mobile also supports tabbed browsing, something sorely missing from many handheld devices today. Early benchmarking via Sunspider clocked it as 2X faster than the native Android browser. It's worth a look- why not download it now and post your experience here?
