Mobile types that take a notebook with them everywhere and don’t like to use the trackpad will want to look at this. Today I am playing with the new Verbatim Wireless Mini Travel Mouse. This little mouse is easily the smallest that I have ever used. If you want the most portable mouse you can get your hands on the Verbatim Wireless Mini Travel Mouse is it. Read on for all of the details.
The Verbatim Wireless Mini Travel Mouse is a tiny little mouse that is wireless and has a nano receiver. The connectivity is 2.4GHz and the sensitivity isn’t specified. You can buy one now for $33 direct from Verbatim.
Anything that is smaller than my 6-year-old thinks it should be is a "baby" no matter if it's inanimate or full grown. She went bonkers when this little baby mouse came out of the box and wants to keep it for playing "work" after I am done with the thing. I will admit the little mouse is cute. It looks like someone over dried a normal mouse and shrank it to about half size.
Despite the tiny size of the mouse it still has dual buttons and a scroll wheel. The little mouse also manages to pack in wireless technology and it is an optical mouse. The little receiver than the Verbatim Wireless Mini Travel Mouse ships with is as small as it is. The receiver is one of the nano styles we are used to seeing today and is small enough to cram into your USB port and leave it there.
The connectivity between the mouse and receiver is 2.4GHz and when used close to your computer there is no lag to speak of. Verbatim doesn't specify the sensitivity of the mouse, I would put it at about 800dpi. That is plenty for most notebook users, though I wished for more on my large 30-inch LCD.
The mouse is powered by a single AAA battery that slides under the cover on top of the mouse. There is a little cut out under that battery door that has just enough room to stash the nano receiver if you don’t want to leave it in the computer.
The little mouse is so small that it felt a bit odd in my medium-size hands. I got used to the mouse quickly and it is very easy to use. The cursor is smooth and accurate and the buttons have good tactile feedback. The bottom of the mouse has an on/off switch so you can turn the mouse off to save battery life. Portable mice with no on/off switch are easily turned on inside your bag and make the battery run down more quickly. The mouse will work with PCs or Macs and comes in a bunch of colors to suit your style.
The Verbatim Wireless Mini Travel Mouse is one of the most compact travel mice you will find and it works well too!
