The iPad is certainly the most popular tablet on the market today by a huge margin. There are still tons of the original iPad on the market in the hands of consumers and there are hoards of the new iPad 2 on the market as well. The numbers of the iPad 2 will only continue to grow, as they are available for more people to purchase.
I recently reviewed a cool case of the original iPad called the HandStand. This case was cool in that it has this swiveling handgrip on the back with an elastic strap that wraps around your hand to keep the iPad securely attached to your hand as you move around. This is the perfect case for the medical office that uses iPads or for the mobile pro that walks or stands and uses their tablet a lot.
“As the iPad makes its way into everyday use for work and leisure, we saw the growing need for a solution that enabled it to be carried for long periods of time,” said Jaime Smith, founder of Hub International, LLC. “With analyst expectations that iPads will be the fastest integrated device in enterprise, quicker than PCs, Laptops and Smartphones, it was more important than ever to answer to the corporate need. Professionals who are using the iPad for work such as Corporate Executives, International Sales, Architects, Designers, Realtors, Educators, Doctors, Nurses and more can now incorporate the HandStand to help maximize the interactive capabilities of the iPad in the workplace.”
The other cool thing is that the handhold part also props the screen of the iPad up for more comfortable use. The company behind the cool HandStand case that I looked at is Hub International LLC and the company has announced that its new HandStand2 for the iPad 2 is shipping in May. The new case is designed to work with the new iPad 2 and has a cut out on the back for the camera and the other new features.
The case is made from silicone and it still has the cool rotating handhold with its elastic strap. The handhold still acts as a stand as well. The device is made from 100% recycled plastic and is made in the USA to boot. It will be offered in pink, black, and white colors at $49.99 and will land in early May. You can pre-order and use promotional code HANDSTAND2 to get 10% off.
