Yesterday Apple released the new 2011 iMac. It already got shred to pieces here, but 9to5Mac found something more interesting in the keyboard system settings. The new iMac have a setting for illuminate keyboard like the MacBook Pro laptops.
This finding is either a mistake by Apple or there will be indeed a wireless keyboard coming with back light feature. The main problem I guess Apple has with back-lighting on the wireless Bluetooth keyboard is battery life. Compared to the Magic touch mouse the batteries hold an eternity in the wireless keyboard. If that would change with back lighting, I would stay away from it. If Apple has solved that then I am pretty sure that a lot of iMac users would want it.
Speaking of input devices. When I got my iMac last year I also got the Magic Touch Pad. I totally not adopted it. I love though the magic mouse and its gesture support.
