Today I am checking out the iFrogz Earpollution Ozone with Mic earphones. These earphones are available in several colors and have lots of style to go with your music. If you want a budget set of earphones that look and sound good, the Ozone with Mic earphones might be perfect read on for all the details.
The Ozone with Mic earphones come in seven colors and cost only $24.99. The earphones have an integrated mic for making calls on your music phone. The drivers are 9mm and the impedance is 19 ohms. Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and the cord is 1.2m long. They will fit any 3.5mm input device.
The Ozone with Mic earphones are lightweight and very comfortable to wear. One of the things you give up with a pair of earphones that are only right at $25 are some of the accessories high-end earphones include. You get three sets of tips with these earphones, but no case. That is fine by me though, I never use any of those accessories anyway. I like that the earphones have a mic on them.
The mic works well with my iPhone 4 and allows me to make and receive phone calls without taking the earphone off. The worst thing about these earphones is that they have no remote. That is the biggest concession with the Ozone with Mic earphones for the price. The lack of a remote means you will have to control the volume and end/answer phones from your device. If you want to skip a track, you have to pull the smartphone out of your pocket for that too.
The only glaring fault so far is the lack of a remote. At $25 I can forgive the earphones for that omission. The real worth of any headphones is in the sound. The Ozone with Mic earphones delivers quality sound in spades. These headphones have the sort of deep bass that I usually hear on high-end earphones like the Monster Turbine earphones I reviewed last week with a price of right at $190. The Ozone with Mic earphones aren't as nuanced as those Monster earphones, but you better believe I would pocket the $150 odd dollars and use the cheap Ozone with Mic earphones over the Monster offerings.
The Ozone with Mic earphones are very comfortable in the ears with tips that are sized to fit most users. You get three sets of tips as I mentioned before. I could use the standard tips already installed on the earphones without issue. The earphones stay in place when you are active and moving around and help block some of the outside sound as well. My review set was black and chrome, which I don't even see on the iFrogz website. You can get these in several other bright colors.
I am perfectly content to look around the lack of a case for the ear tips and the inline remote with the Ozone with Mic earphones. The reason is the sound quality. These earphones sound almost as good as earphones costing over $100 more.
