Apple updates their iPod line once a year in Fall. Last year they introduced the new iPod nano 6G with the square format and tiny touch screen. The previous iPod nano 5G had a camera. This video camera is supposed to make a comeback in the new iPod nano 7G this fall.
This rumor is supported by a new leaked photo of what is supposed to be the iPod nano 7G. The photo appeared on Taiwanese Apple.pro (via MacRumors).
The only problem with the leaked photo is that the clip is missing. Either Apple is still working on it or the company really intends to lose it. In general I do not think the camera will be a huge value add for the iPod nano, unless Apple adds Wi-Fi, Microphone and FaceTime to it. This would make the iPod nano the ultimate tiny communicator.
