Forbes reports that Jefferies & Co. analyst Peter Misek sees Apple‘s iPhone 5 launching in September to likely not include LTE, Verizons's 4G technology. According to his sources the iPhone 5 should be called iPhone 4S. It only features minor cosmetic changes, better cameras, A5 dual-core processor, and HSPA+ support. The big news would be that Apple announces Sprint, T-Mobile, and China Mobile as new carriers. This would bring the iPhone to all major carriers.
What we know for sure is that the next iPhone runs iOS 5. It could really be the case that Apple is just releasing an iPhone 4S this fall. In 2012 Apple then goes 4G and NFC with an iPhone 5.
