The Samsung Galaxy S 2 is one of the most anticipated new Android phones. Samsung launched it end of April in Korea and is set to hit the US market soon on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. According to a product page on Wireless Xcessories Group found by Pocketnow (via Engadget) US carriers will name the Galaxy S 2 with Attain (AT&T), Function (Verizon) and Within (Sprint).
There are already a sea of Android phones and carriers have nothing better to do than to multiply them by calling the phones differently. If I would have to say something at Samsung I would not allow carriers to dilute the products identity with their own names. Samsung Galaxy S2 - that is the name of the phone. Why call it Attain? I wonder if anybody dared to ask Apple to give the iPhone a special name.
Features of the ultra-thin (8.9mm) Samsung Galaxy S2 include a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with a 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display and an 8MP camera. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA and NFC.
