Philips announced over the weekend that Black Eyed Peas' Fergie was wearing a Light Dress powered by Philips at the Billboard Music Awards. Showcasing a fusion of fashion, music, lighting and technology, the Philips design team worked alongside B. Akerlund, the industry's leading Stylist/Costume Designer, to construct the dress.
The luminous lines "moved" with the beat of the music adding another visual dimension to Fergie's Stage performance. Philips did not elaborate on the technology used or if you will be able to buy a Philips Light Dress at H&M soon.
It is definitely not the first outfit with light effects. I assume that the batteries on this one are pretty small though.
