Dell launched the new thin XPS 15z 15-inch laptop today. Dell hails the 15z as the thinnest 15-inch PC with 0.97-inches (24.68mm). The 15-inch MacBook Pro is measuring though only .94-inches (24.1mm). Dell could have pushed their engineers a bit harder to shave off the .03-inches, but they did not. They kept their eyes on the price of this new laptop and with $999 it is very affordable.
The Dell XPS 15z offers 2nd-generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, optional 15.6-inch Full HD (1080p) display, a backlit keyboard with adjustable brightness, USB 3.0 and up to eight hours of battery life.
