The HTC Thunderbolt 4G from Verizon has a big has a 4.3-inch screen and a boat load of features including GPS, 32GB SD card, an 8MP rear camera with 720p video recording and a 1.3MP front camera. PocketNow has found evidence of a HTC Thunderbolt mini in a user agent profile. The device is identified as HTC Mecha S and has a lower screen resolution of 320x480px. The currently available Thunderbolt had Mecha as codename. The appendix S is of course giving us the idea that HTC is working on a small Thunderbolt.
HTC has already launch a smaller version of a flagship Android phone. the HTC HD2 was followed with the release of the HTC HD mini.
Small smartphones are on the rise. HP launched the Veer and I am sure there are more pant pocket friendly smartphones to come in the next months.
