Speculation started again about Apple unveiling a new iPhone 4S next week at the WWDC 2011.
When WWDC 2011 got announced by Apple, rumors immediately appeared that the developer conference would not see any new hardware unveiling. It will be about iOS 5, OS X Lion and iCloud. New reports from the UK and from Australia that Apple PR is actively inviting press to the WWDC 2011 is triggering speculation that Apple will unveil against all odds a new iPhone.

I do not understand that reasoning. If Apple is launching a new iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 for that matter, they do not need additional press to cover it. It runs by itself. It is just not that easy to cover and convey software and services. It is much more complex to promote new software features compared to a new device. My understanding is that Apple invites international press to the WWDC 2011 to make sure they cover iOS 5 and the iCloud services. We might already get to see the Apple music locker service at the WWDC 2011.
Apple still did not announced the details about the WWDC 2011 keynote. It is expected to take place on June 6 at 10am PDT, but who will present?
