Gamers wanting to get their hands on the next installment of the PS3's flagship adventure game series won't have to wait much longer.
The open beta test of Uncharted 3's online multiplayer mode will officially go live on June 28. On that day, anyone who purchased Infamous 2 and received a voucher in the box for the Uncharted 3 beta.
If you have no interest in Infamous 2 but still really want to see what Uncharted 3 has in store, you'll still be able to get into the beta but you'll have to wait until July 4.
The beta is scheduled to close on July 13, so there's plenty of time for you to get your fix before the full version of the game comes out later this year.
The beta version lets players test out a full six different game modes - Team Deathmatch, 3-Team Deathmatch, High Stakes, Free For All, Plunger, and Team Objective.
On top of that, players will also be able to try out three online co-op modes.
Sony has not officially announced the beta details, but media reports suggest it will in the next few days.
The Naughty Dog-developed title is expected to make a big splash at E3, which begins next week. It is one of the biggest games on tap for Sony, which has the unenviable position of needing to play damage control at the show.
Unlike Microsoft or Nintendo, Sony will need to wow attendees with content that is so amazing and overwhelming that it will overshadow the recent controversy over the PlayStation Network data breach.
The Uncharted series has been one of the strongest exclusives for the console since the first one launched early in the PS3's life.
