Rumor: HTC Hero 2 To Sprint, Desire To AT&T

The HTC Hero made quite the splash when it launched last year, due in large part to the Sense UI. Now BGR reports that they have received word from a source 'close to HTC' that claims a sequel to the Hero is due out soon. The Hero 2 is the same phone as the HTC Legend, with some 'slight' modifications. It will launch on Sprint.

The HTC Desire, basically a Nexus One with the Sense UI, is rumored to be launching for AT&T. BGR's tipster warned that the phone may suffer some major changes to its physical attributes between now and May or June, which is when the phone is expected to launch.

None of this has been confirmed or independently corroborated, but it certainly fits with some of the earlier rumors we've heard. Take this with a grain of salt, but not a big one.
