HP just announced the release date and pricing for the first webOS TouchPad. The Wi-Fi version of HP TouchPad will be available in the United States on July 1. The 16GB TouchPad Wi-Fi has a price of $499.99 and the 32GB model will sell for $599.99.
The pre-order of the HP TouchPad starts June 19.
The HP TouchPad features a 9.7-inch screen with 1024x768px resolution and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-CPU APQ8060 1.2-GHz processor. Other features of the first WebOS Tablet include 16GB or 32GB storage, Wifi 802.11n, A-GPS (3G only), Bluetooth, 1.3MP front faceing webcam, 6300mAh battery and Micro-USB port. On the software side the WebOS TouchPad supports Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta, HP Synergy feature, virtual full QWERTY keyboard and Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite.
HP’s first webOS tablet will be available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France and Germany a few days later and in Canada in mid-July, with availability scheduled to follow later this year in Italy and Spain, as well as in Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore.
