Several Apple computer products are expected to be updated next month. OS X Lion will be released on July 12. Apple could use this date as trigger to launch several new hardware products. Apple still needs to bring Thunderbolt to the MacBook Air, Mac mini and Mac Pro. Also badly in need for an update is the MacBook.
9to5Mac reports about some evidence that Mac Pro and Mac mini are soon to be upgraded. Mac mini Server and Mac Pro Server are currently having no shipping date. Why this starts with the server versions is not clear.
The AirPort Extreme and the Time Capsule are also under supply constrains and are expected to be updated soon.
It makes sense for Apple to wait now for new hardware releases after the OS X Lion launch. This way the can ship the new computers with OS X Lion already installed.
I am especially excited to see the new MacBook Air and what Apple is doing about the MacBook.
