Google bought SageTV. This is what has been posted at the SageTV homepage. SageTV is a well known DVR solution running on Windows, Mac OS and Linux. It looks like Google picked up the SageTV team and their experience to enhance the Google TV product. There is no information on the details of the takeover terms. Google also did not announce anything about this deal.
Google TV did not really take off when it launched last year. A new Google TV release is supposed to be arriving this year.
