Samsung announced that their new Smart TV equipped TV sets reached the 2 million units milestone. The Smart TV era started this year. Before that Internet enabled TVs have been called connected TVs. Smart TV, a term LG is also using, provides robust platform online services and apps on TVs.
In the US market alone, Samsung sold 730,000 units since the launch earlier this year. Internet TVs have certainly matured by now. It is convenient if you can use Netflix right away on your TV without having to get a setup box. Streaming video is for sure one of the most used features. Shane also makes a case that its great to have a web browser right on your TV if you have kids asking pesky questions. For the social network fans a Smart TV is also pretty neat. You can stay connected via Facebook or Twitter while watching TV shows.
Samsung Smart TVs come in sizes of 32-inch up to the newly unveiled 75-inch Smart TV D9500.
You can find the latest Samsung Smart TVs on sale on Amazon.
