The MacBook Air is anticipated to be the next hardware release from Apple. It is pretty certain that Apple will not release anything before the OS X Lion release in July. The new MacBook Air is expected to feature the Thunderbolt port and adopting the new Intel Sandybridge CPUs found in the new MacBook Pro and iMac. Today MacRumors filed a report that they received several anonymous tips that Apple is releasing a black MacBook Air version. The black option would be available on the top end MacBook Air laptops. I am not really convinced that this is going to happen.
What I can imagine is that the MacBook Air adopts the black canvas around the screen like the MacBook Pro is featuring. I actually prefer that look and I think it enhances the screen.
9to5Mac reports that they received a tip saying that Apple is lowering the price of the entry-level MacBook Air to $899. This would be another blow to the Windows laptop makers that struggle to offer an MacBook Air alternative. This lower price would raise even more question marks on what Apple is going to do with the MacBook. Cancel it?

I really hope Apple isn’t done with the Mac Pro yet, because a Xeon E3/E5 update would be awesome. The fastest Mac Pro you can buy today, the two-year-old, $6200, dual-X5670 2.93 GHz model, scores “only” about 24,262.1 I’m still not sur ...
