Nokia unveiled today the Nokia N9 MeeGo phone. The N9 will be released later this year. Below you can watch a hands-on video from a Nokia marketing manager. The user interface looks really great and the performance of the N9 is stunning. Nokia got rid of the home button and everything is controlled trough the touchscreen. One things shown in the video is how you can swipe away a live playing video. The video actually continues to play while you peek at the screen behind.
Nokia should have gone full in on MeeGo, now it is possibly to late. As I understand Nokia is positioning MeeGo as an experiment and not as anything that is aimed at the mass market. It is really confusing and I am not sure what we should do now with this awesome Nokia N9.
