Apple iPhone 5 comes already August: New Rumor

Until now September was the consensus in the Apple rumor mill as launch timeframe for the new iPhone 5. BGR just reported that they have confirmed with their sources that Apple is already announcing the iPhone 5 already in August and it will have a radical new case design.

Apple may already hold the iPhone 5 announcement in early August and ship the iPhone 5 in the last week of August. 

Apple needs to really produce a ton of iPhone 5 to not have a chaos launch. If they really would already launch in August, the mass production would need to commence very soon. There are no indicators yet when Apple will start that.

In regards to the radical new case design of the iPhone 5, Joshua Topolsky over at This Is My Next has a guess on how the new iPhone 5 would look like. It would slim down towards the bottom and as widely rumored would have an edge-to-edge screen.

The larger home button on the iPhone 5 would be used as a gesture area. I am not sure about this one. I actually like the no button touchscreen interface shown today on the Nokia N9.
