Pope uses Apple iPad to send his first Tweet

Now Apple also reached the pope with the iPad. Today the Pope used an iPad to send a tweet to announce news.va, the new Vatican news site. You can watch a video below showing the Pope Benedict XVI using the iPad for the first time. It is not known if Pope Benedict is going to adopt the iPad for other tasks and if he caught the Twitter bug.

For Apple this is some very nice and "holy" PR for the Apple iPad.

The tweet the Pope sent out said: "Dear Friends, I just launched http://t.co/fVHpS9y Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ! With my prayers and blessings, Benedictus XVI."
