This is now really the final launch of a Space Shuttle. All year long the the Shuttle launches have been covered as last this and last that. Now this is the absolute final Space Shuttle launch. I still remember when I was glued to the screen during the first Shuttle missions back in the 80s.
Space Shuttle Atlantis will carry a crew of four and the Raffaello multipurpose logistics module containing supplies and spare parts for the space station. The STS-135 astronauts are: Commander Chris Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley, and Mission Specialists Sandy Magnus and Rex Walheim.
The countdown for the Space Shuttle launch is currently down to 3 hours and 39m on the NASA site. NASA provides a live video feed of the last Space Shuttle launch on their site. More NASA News.
