If the latest rumors are true, then Apple is releasing OS X 10.7 Lion on Thursday, July 14. The latest evidence is a rumor that Apple Stores are redecorating during the night on July 13. The gold master of OS X Lion has also already been released to developers. Unless there is no hick-up, Apple is likely releasing OS X Lion this week. Besides the OS X Lion release we are also expecting the new 2011 MacBook Air.
Mac OS X Lion is bringing 250 new features. OS X Lion will be available in July as a download from the Mac App Store for $29.99. Some of the features in Lion include: new Multi-Touch gestures; system-wide support for full screen apps; Mission Control, a view of everything running on your Mac; the Mac App Store, the best place to find and explore great software, built right into the OS; Launchpad, a new home for all your apps; and a completely redesigned Mail app.
Also make sure you have the latest Snow Leopard update to be able to download OS X Lion from the App Store. More OS X News.
