It's hot here and I am going to hit the nearby lake in about 30 minutes. If you are close to a 7-Eleven (who isn't?) you can get a free cool down as well today. 7-Eleven celebrates the store chain's 84th birthday today with a free 7.11oz Slurpee drink. Participating 7-Eleven stores across the U.S. and Canada will serve up 5 million free 7.11-ounce Slurpee frozen carbonated beverages this day while supplies last.
“7-Eleven Day and giving away free Slurpee beverages is our way of thanking customers for their patronage throughout the year and showing appreciation for their support,” said Jesus Delgado-Jenkins, 7-Eleven’s senior vice president of merchandising, marketing and logistics.
7-Eleven started the first convenience store back 84 years ago in Dallas, Texas. 7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses now more than 8,600 7-Eleven® stores in North America.
