Sony unveiled earlier this week a white Sony PS3 console for the Japanese market. The White 160GB Sony PS3 Slim is going to ship on July 29th.
Sony is most likely not unveiling a white PS3 console in the US, but you can get your hands on one via Asian video game exporters.
Play-Asia is now offering the new white Sony PS3 for pre-order for $399. This is about $60 more than you would pay on the streets of Tokyo.
Play-Asia's tests show that for now PS3 software is region free and for Blu-ray you are also ok as USA and Japan are together in Region A. Only DVD can be a a problem.
More details on Play-Asia.
