Intel's Sandy Bridge CPUs are the top choice for 2011. In 2012 everybody will talk about Ivy Bridge CPUs. The motherboards supporting the 22nm Ivy Bridge processors will be based on Z77 (top of the line), Z75 and H77 Intel chipsets. Digitimes reports that Intel plans to release these in either March or April of 2012.
The Intel Z77 and Z75 chipset support CPU overclocking and offer HDMI/DP audio as well as two 8Gbps SATA ports. These upcoming Intel chipsets support 4 USB 3.0 and 10 USB 2.0 ports.
Besides these PC chipsets, Intel will also release chipsets for the Intel Chief River notebook platform. These chipsets include the QS77, QM77, HM77, HM76 and HM75.
Additionally Intel will push out the chipsets Q77, Q75 and B75 for the enterprise market.
