As reported the OS X Lion release did not happen yesterday. A new release date is just guess work at this point. Some said today, others point to next week and the week after. Now John Paczkowski at AllThingsD filed a rumor report saying that the new MacBook Air will be released on Thursday or Friday next week. If that is the case than also OS X Lion is coming late next week. This time frame for the 2011 MacBook Air release was also already reported by AppleInsider last week.
Some new details about the new MacBook Air surfaced in the meantime. The minium size of the SSD storage will be 128GB and the minimum RAM will be 4GB according to AppleInsider. Earlier it was already reported that the new MacBook Air brings back blacklit keyboards. It is of course expected that the new MacBook Air runs new Sandy Bridge CPUs and carries a Thunderbolt port.
