Apple Stores get OS X Lion for Store Floor Computers

OS X Lion release could really be tomorrow.

The OS X Lion release date has been a moving target in the Apple Rumor Mill. As reported yesterday the latest rumor points to a release of OS X 10.7 Lion as early as Wednesday. MacRumors reports that they confirmed that Apple Stores have received the final version of OS X Lion for the demo computers on the store floor. The update arrived in a hard drive.

This means not necessarily that Apple is going to launch OS X Lion tomorrow, but is just another evidence that OS X Lion indeed ready to be released any time now. 9to5Mac reports that there is supposed a night shift for Apple Store employees tonight, but then they reported about such an event last week as well.

OS X Lion is bringing 250 new features. OS X Lion will be available as a download from the Mac App Store for $29.99. Some of the features in Lion include: new Multi-Touch gestures; system-wide support for full screen apps; Mission Control, a view of everything running on your Mac; the Mac App Store, the best place to find and explore great software, built right into the OS; Launchpad, a new home for all your apps; and a completely redesigned Mail app.

long with the OS X Lion release we expect the 2011 MacBook Air to be launched.
