The story about fake Apple Stores raised a lot of attention around the world last week. Apple has been quite about this story all this time. Now Reuters reports that chinese officials the town of Kunming ordered the fake Apple Stores to close. They officials actually found five fake Apple Stores operating in Kunming.
Now that all the attention was on fake Apple Stores in China, reports appear that other parts of the world also have fake Apple Stores. The blog BirdAbroad that broke the fake Apple Store story has now a report up saying that fake Apple Stores exist in Croatia, Colombia, Burma, Venezuela, Slovenia and even Spain.
I suggest next time you visit the Apple Store in Palo Alto you ask a sales clerk if they are the real deal. They sure appreciate that.
