Asus has officially launched the Asus Eee Pad Slider Android tablet and released the details. What is still missing is the price and the actual release date. Over the weekend information from the Netherlands came in that puts the Asus Eee Pad Slider release into September.
The Asus Eee Pad Slider will still ship with Android 3.1, but is upgradable to Android 3.2. Features of the Eee Pad Slider include Tegra 2 CPU, 10.1-inch display, 16/32GB Storage, 5MP camera, USB, mini-HDMI, and gorilla glass covered display. The cool thing about the Eee Pad Slider is of course the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Despite the keyboard the Eee Pad Slider stays reasonably thin with 16.7mm.
The Asus Eee Pad Slider joins the Eee Pad Transformer, which is already on the market. The Transformer comes with an optional keyboard dock that transforms the tablet to a laptop.
