Asus is offering one of the bestselling Android tablets right now with the Eee Pad Transformer. The Transformer tablet transforms into a laptop with an optional keyboard dock. Digitimes reports today that Wintek will be a new supplier for touch panels in the next generation Asus Eee Pad Transformer.
The new Asus Eee Pad Transformer would be released in October. Is the Android Ice Cream Sandwich release already available in October? Will the new Eee Pad Transformer already run on the fabled Kal-El (NVIDIA Tegra 3) CPU? We have no information on this yet.
If Asus is releasing a new generation of Android Tablets in October than they will be not alone. What is necessary for that is though the availability of a new faster CPU and a new Android release to make a difference. If the Android camp manages to make a big leap on the hardware and the software, than the iPad 2 would look less attractive for the Holiday shopping season.
The current Asus Eee Pad Transformer is on sale on Amazon starting at $394.99.
