Another rumor claims October launch for the iPhone 5.
Yesterday we featured a rumor that has put the iPhone 5 release into October. Most rumors before have pointed to a September release for the iPhone 5. Today BGR reports that a source at Canadian carrier Telus told them that the iPhone 5 will launch on October 1st in Canada. This either means that the iPhone 5 also launches on that date in the US or earlier based on previous iPhone launches.

October 1st would be an unusual launch day for the iPhone 5. It is a Saturday. Apple never has launched an iPhone on that day of the week. We have seen Friday and Thursday in the past. There is not much to say against a Saturday launch day in the United States. Stores are open anyway and most people do not need to work that day. This will give them time without taking a day off from work to line up the night before at the Apple Store of their choice to get a chance to purchase a brand new iPhone 5.

I would prefer a September launch date for the iPhone 5. I am already sick of waiting for it. Recent rumors point to a dramatically new iPhone that is thinner, has a larger screen and is faster. The backside is also supposed to be more like the iPad 2. I like the sound of this. More iPhone 5 Rumors.
