Galaxy S2 not coming to Verizon Today [Update]

End of July we carried a rumor saying that Verizon will launch the Samsung S2 today, August 12. August 12 is still young, but I do not expect Verizon to announce anything today about the S2. If the sale of the highly anticipated Galaxy S2 would to be started today, Verizon would have announced that earlier this week.

So for now we are back to the promise by Samsung that the Galaxy S2 will launch in the United States in August.

 

At 8.9mm the Samsung Galaxy S2 is very thin. Features of the Samsung Galaxy S2 include a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with a 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display and an 8MP camera. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA and NFC.

Samsung already sold over 5 million of the Galaxy S2 in Europe and Asia. The Galaxy S2 is expected to be released on all four major US carriers. Each of them will have a different name. The T-Mobile Galaxy S2 is supposed to be called Samsung Hercules for instance.
