iPhone 5 launch is October 7th according to new report.
Here is a new twist to the iPhone 5 release date guessing. 9to5Mac just reported that they heard that the iPhone 5 will indeed launch on October 7th as reported a couple of days ago. On top of that Apple will offer a pre-order window for the iPhone 5 starting on September 30th.

The final decisions on the dates have apparently not been made yet. Apple also could choose September 29th as pre-order launch day. If all this is true, Apple would need to schedule a media event before the end of September to unveil the iPhone 5.
I would appreciate a pre-order window for the iPhone 5. This takes the guess work out of whether or not you'll get your hands on an iPhone 5 on launch day. You can pre-order your iPhone 5 conveniently from home. Of course the run on the Apple Store servers will be huge again, likely forcing them to go under.
