President Obama took to the road this weekend through Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois. We do not report about politics, but there is an interesting aspect of Obama's trip here. He is riding in a $1.1 million bus. That is right. This all black bus has been apparently bought by the Secret Service and has been modified to push the total cost up to $1.1 million. Details are scarce, but the bus is sharing some of the same armor capabilities of "The Beast", Obama's limousine. We are talking 8-inch thick armor plates, bulletproof glass and kevlar-protected tires.
There are supposed more defense technologies in the bus. No word on offensive weaponry. There should be enough space on the luggage area to install some rocket launchers.
There is actually a second bus like this one that is supposed to be used by the Republican party for their presidential candidate.
