We week ago we carried a rumor that said that the iPhone 5 will launch on October 7. Today BGR files a report saying the iPhone 5 will launch early October. The information is supposed to come from a high-level AT&T source. According to the source an AT&T VP said to several AT&T employees that the iPhone 5 is coming early October. He supposedly accompanied that news with "Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days,..."
Earlier this week we also featured a rumor about Apple launching the iPhone 5 pre-ordering end of September. This also ties in the anticipated October sales launch of the iPhone 5.
Now the verdict is still out on whether the iPhone 5 is a major redesign or we just see a performance upgrade. We also could see two new iPhones - one premium iPhone 5 and a streamlined iPhone 4 with lower cost.
