Samsung announces for the IFA 2011 the Series 7 CHRONOS laptop line. The Samsung Notebook Series 7 features ExpressCache, , a technology that accelerates boot-up and start times. The Samsung FastStart sees the PC ready to use just two seconds, a 33% time-improvement on previous models, while Samsung's QuickBoot has the notebook ready to go in just 19 seconds. In addition to the battery life of up to 9 hours on a single charge, Samsung’s Battery Life Plus technology keeps 80% of the cell’s original capacity in a life cycle lasting up to 1,500 charging cycles. This ensures that the battery can last up to five times longer than other notebooks.
Other features of the Samsung Series 7 Chronos laptop include 15.6-inch screen with very narrow bezel, HD+ resolution (1,600x900px), AMD Radeon HD6750M GPU and Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU. Samsung managed to keep the thickness of the Series 7 ot 23.9mm and the weight to 2.17kg.
